Disaster Management Club, GDC Kandaghat Disasters are serious disruptions to the functioning of a community that exceed its capacity to cope using its own resources. A disaster is sudden, unexpected and leads to adverse consequences.
Disaster management club has been created at GDC Kandaghat to create plans to reduce vulnerability to disasters. The club focuses on creating awareness to avoid potential loss which may be caused due to a disaster. It also entails preparing quick and prompt steps that can be taken for an effective recover.

Objectives of Disaster Management Club:

• Organizes safety awareness programs and create awareness about Disaster Management.
• Sensitizes students on emergency situations like fire, earthquake, floods, etc.
• Conducts Mock Drills to educate students & faculty about how to prepare for different types of disasters.
• Installs and strengthens prediction, prevention and warning systems.
